Jesus' Return - Part 12 of 12
Here’s the final part in this multi-part series regarding the prophecy of Jesus’ Return.
Up this time, the last Verse of Daniel 12 (Verse 13), and the conclusion of the matter.
------- Verse 13 -------
13 "But you, go your way till the end; for you shall rest, and will arise to your inheritance at the end of the days."
The <notes> for this Verse, from earlier in this document, serve as the discussion for it (repeated here):
Even Daniel will sleep in the dust till the End. Thankfully, we can be sure his name is in the Book of Life.
-------
Whew. Let's step back for a minute and breathe.
Now some might ask as they grasp and ponder these things, is all this for real ?
Yes. We either believe Jesus or we don't. If we don't, He's still coming back. We don't have to believe in earthquakes or tidal waves either, but we know they occur. We also know Jesus was here the first time, so we have the precedent of occurrence.
Plus, this is Jesus, God's own Son. Does He sin ? No. Lie ? No. Okay. The completely trustworthy sinless Son of God, Savior of the world, has given direct assurance of His Return. Thus, as surely as you have the breath of life, Jesus Christ will be returning in the clouds above the Earth.
It's really not that hard. All one has to do is think about it, even over and over. We either believe the most trustworthy person ever - Jesus, the Son of God, who gave Himself on the Cross for the forgiveness of our sins – or we call Him a liar. There is no middle ground. Half-hearted Faith has no hope, but chooses only separation.
But wait... what about Daniel 12 ? Does God really want us to know it ? And, are we even allowed to know it ?
Let's ask Jesus (Luke 8:17; Mark 4:22 similar):
“For nothing is secret that will not be revealed, nor anything hidden that will not be known and come to light.”
Again, we either believe Jesus or we don't. Let's always remember that it is God, not man, Who made sure Daniel had this prophecy that points directly to the End Time. And it is God, not man, Who made sure this prophecy has all the information it does, including the Starting Point, and including the exacting numbers within it. He did not do this to make it impossible for man ! God did this because He Loves us.
Love ? Yes, Love. Consider for a moment the miracle that God has done. He put this prophecy in Daniel's ears, and had him write it down for us. On its own, it might have become lost, but God didn't allow that. Hasn't God made sure it is available to us these thousands of years later ? Yes. Why ? He wants us to discern the time !
Consider too, has God ever given His Word only to turn around and tell us we're not allowed to know it ? Never.
In fact, God fully expects that a person who Loves Him will know it, as much as they are able to receive. After all, God does not give the Spirit by measure (John 3:34). Only we, by a lack of Faith, can limit what God wants to give to us. Is it not Jesus Who tells us clearly in the Gospels, many times, that as we believe, what we ask for will be granted ? Therefore, it is only man, when frustrated by his own lack of Faith and surrender to God, who tells others that God's Word cannot be known. But such little Faith will not reap Life; it only ends Life.
God and Jesus want us to search for the simple Truth of Their Word. But it can only be had by believing what it says, in Faith. Can Truth ever be received by resistance to it ? No. So, surrender ! We need not fight God ! We need only to repent and give up to Him the layers of pride and sin with which we formerly poisoned ourselves.
Okay. But... another question. Is it just that so many will not come to Life when Jesus returns ?
Since Salvation is tied to one's Faith in God's Word, revealed by their thoughts, words, and behaviors, this is best answered with: “When the Son of Man comes, will He really find faith on the earth ?” - Jesus in Luke 18:8
Consider, is it unfair of God to ask that we surrender in repentance, and turn to the Way of Truth, in order to Love properly, and accept the Love He has for us ? Or, is it unfair of God to ask that we stay in His Word and seek diligently, so the many Gifts He has for us can be given ? And who will be able to look at God at the End and claim that He was unfair for giving them the priceless treasure of a human life ?
In fact, everyone will know they had free will and a choice. The sin of this world is chosen by man, not God. God wants us out of sin, and gives us the Way. It brings God great joy to give to those who Love Him, but it brings God great heartache that most of the world's human beings prefer to sin instead, hating Him in return.
Shall God suffer this heartache forever ? Surely, as we've seen, He is willing to suffer it until all who will be Saved are, even as He suffers with them through their trials until the End, when their power to help convert anyone else for Him and Jesus is completely shattered by world-wide, sin-hardened resistance to the Holy Spirit.
Shall He suffer it beyond that point ? God is not mocked. Because He Loves jealously, God is extremely angered by the willful persistence in sin of the overwhelming majority of people, even in this present world. God knows He has no choice but to allow the world to perish in the deceptions it seeks as refuge instead of Him. It isn't His Will, but God will allow it because so few have a Love of the Truth that would save them, or anything else.
Who reads God's Word and keeps it ? No one compared to the number of people who hate God, or “feel” they know Him based on their own unfounded impressions mixed with the deceptive ramblings of false prophets. Collective refusal to read God's Word and keep it is the very reason we are about to witness that which will come to pass.
Man cannot conceive of the destruction about to befall him for willfully spurning all good things.
God is just.
Remember, much of what will happen in the supposed “religious” world between now and the time of the End will be done by a “Christian” religion that has little or nothing to do with Christ. But it's easy to test the spirits, to see if they are devils, that is, those who lie or hate (which is murder):
First, if you have not already done so, sincerely open your heart to God and repent for your sins, asking Him to forgive you through the atoning death of His Beloved Son, Jesus Christ, on the Cross.
In addition, forgive others their sins, leaving no one and no sin unforgiven.
Then pray to God and ask for the Holy Spirit to guide you, and it will be given.
From there, push away the unimportant and unnecessary things in life, and make time for reading the Word of God, beginning with the Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John, which contain the teachings of Jesus Christ during His earthly Ministry. Keep God's Word. Also know and keep God's Commandments, as Jesus also teaches and keeps, for it is by the Law that the knowledge of sin is conveyed, teaching us what we should or should not do.
Then each day, Walk with the Lord in prayer and conversation, and in contemplation with the Holy Spirit. Stay in God's Word for your Spirit's food and drink; keep your repentance and gratitude; forgive endlessly, and you will have a Walking relationship with God, by which His Holy Spirit will guide you as you go through this life, helping you to become and remain a child of God's, in Love and Truth. There is nothing more worthwhile. Amen.
From there, your heart and mind will be guarded by Jesus Christ. By your Walking knowledge of the Truth, and of God's Love, you will now be able to test the spirits with complete assurance. If anyone tells you they are with God, but does not willfully seek or keep His Word, or all of His Commandments, do not allow them to sway you, no matter who they are. “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who does not enter the sheepfold by the door, but climbs up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber. … The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy.” - Jesus in John 10:1 and 10:10
Always pray and converse with God, my friend.
And... “Watch therefore, and pray always that you may be counted worthy to escape all these things that will come to pass, and to stand before the Son of Man.” - Jesus in Luke 21:36
And that’s the end “The Prophecy Study of Jesus’ Return” (also in a pdf file here, for those interested).
It uses just the Bible and verifiable history to prove to us the only 3 possible years of Jesus’ Return, all without trying to add to, subtract from, or twist any of God’s Word.
What it does not use is “this or that” denomination’s doctrines. Because practically all denominations today are compromised. Yes, they preach some of what is right. But they also preach some falsehoods, even if unknowingly. And in many cases, they willfully ignore (i.e. do not discuss) critical “need to know” things for Salvation, even as taught by Jesus Himself ! But trying to keep the collection plate full by trying to appease those who want to feel like a “Christian” without doing what Jesus teaches… how do you think God feels about that ? Only those who read His Word know.
Well, we’re sure many readers probably felt the inclination to reject some of what this document said, based on their beliefs that they were taught by others. That’s normal. But if you simply use an accurate Bible (such as the KJV or NKJV), and commit to objectively follow all reasonable evidence that can be found within it to see where it leads, without throwing out or ignoring any Verses on any given topic (which, sadly, many bad doctrines do), you will eventually come to the conclusion that you have been told the Truth. Actual, factual, Bible Truth. And frankly speaking in front of God with Him as Witness, there’s nothing better or more worthwhile in this life than that.
So, for those who followed closely along… in a while when you finally even believe it yourself, please share this document’s information with others. Because a few people will be drawn closer to the Lord by it; and then they’ll share it with others, and so on, just as it’s supposed to be. Because prophecy is often a door by which people become interested in their Salvation, if they weren’t already before.
Plus, it’s important that we don’t bury our “talent” in the ground (Matthew 25), lest we be deemed a “wicked and lazy servant” by the Good Lord Himself ! (Yes, the Lord can be very straightforward; but it’s only the prideful who reject it, hating the Truth that goes with God’s Love.) So don’t just read and then do nothing… share the Truth !
One final thing before we go. Here’s another way to think about how short the time actually is to the first possible year of Jesus’ Return: Starting when this document was first posted on Substack in 2023 (we repost it in later years also), it was a mere 436 years until 2459 AD. If a person born in 2023 lives 88 years, and another is born on the day of his death who also lives 88 years, and three more likewise after that, that fifth person won’t taste death if he’s Saved, but will see Jesus coming on the clouds of Heaven ! Again, if the first possible year is the one.
Of course, who would we rather be ? That last 88 year-old who had to somehow live through such a harrowing time on this earth ? Or ourselves (if we’re Saved)… falling asleep well before then, but with the knowledge that we’ll sleep peacefully without waking up until the very first One we see is Jesus ? It seems sleeping might be the better option !
Well, until next time, live safely and humbly under God’s wing.
